Road Operations

Hand in hand with our emphasis on quality, clinical excellence and the extended patient, we ensure that our patient and client needs come first.

We back this commitment with an extensive fleet of over 300 Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs) and Ambulances which includes dedicated Critical Care Retrieval Units, Rescue Ambulances which are capable of performing patient rescue and access along with the ability to transport – a first in South Africa; as well as Paramedic Ambulances, which are manned by Advanced Life Support and have an extended role of traditional rapid response services.

Our national reach is enhanced by our partnerships with reputable service providers across the country.

This includes helicopter and fixed-wing air ambulances in strategically located areas to minimise flight response time.

Event Medical Services

We have extensive experience providing effective and reliable emergency medical support at concerts, corporate, social and sporting events, indoors and outdoors, across the country. We deliver fast, efficient and competent service to our clients using innovative technologies.

Our specialised team consists of highly qualified paramedics, doctors and nursing practitioners, all of whom are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

ER24 is a trusted South African medical emergency services provider with a state-of-the-art 084 124 Call Centre that handles in excess of 40 000 emergency calls per month.

Aeromedical Services

Our Fixed Wing Air Ambulance Service operates primarily throughout Southern Africa, Africa and the surrounding islands. We facilitate transfers into Europe and the Middle East.

Our current fleet of aircraft includes a Falcon 20 Jet with dual patient capabilities, a Falcon 50 Jet, a King Air 200 and a Cessna Citation 560 Jet. All our aircraft are pressurised and comply with Civil Aviation Authority requirements.

NAAMTA Accreditation is an important step in ensuring safe and transparent working relationships between suppliers and customers as well as ensuring that international standards are met and complied with. We pride ourselves that with our partners ER24 Global Assist, we have an independent international accreditation that allows customers to feel confident in the service that they receive.

NAAMTA, a (ISO) 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certified company, is the new accreditation standard bearer for the medical transport industry, offering procedures that include guidelines for developing a quality management system focusing on transport safety, patient care, and continuous improvement. Since NAAMTA’s inception in 2009, great strides have been made in identifying best practices to improve the standard of performance among medical transport systems at the global level.

We offer corporate emergency medical services to suit our client’s health and safety requirements. We give you peace of mind relating to potential accidents in the workplace.

Our corporate emergency services include a variety of products tailor-made to suite our clients’ needs. The Corporate Access Agreements assists an organisation to comply with the National Health and Safety Regulation while our Customised Contact Centre Services for organisations and key stakeholders provide an integration into their emergency protocol activations.

Our Funders, Medical Schemes and Medical Scheme Administrators, as well as their clients or members have 24/7 access to ER24’s Emergency Contact Centre and validation services.

Our professional trauma counselling services are based in and around the urban hubs of South Africa to provide telephonic or face-to-face counselling.

Funder Relations

We provide customised services, risk mitigation and case management solutions to various medical schemes and their appointed Administrators, as well as other Funders in the healthcare industry.

Our dedicated Fund Managers team consists of qualified nursing sisters experienced in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and trauma as well as staff with extensive scheme administration experience, providing a perfect balance of clinical and administrative expertise to ensure compliance with the rules of our contract schemes and the optimal management of their EMS risk. We have designed three specific products, namely Medic Access, Medic Access Enhanced and Medic Service, to meet our clients’ specific requirements. The products range from entry-level 24/7 access to our Contact Centre and dispatch of emergency services to a full risk-transfer (capitation) agreement, offering a comprehensive basket of services customised to each client’s specific needs.
