The SAPAESA Emergency Medical Assistance Call Centre launched in South Africa on 14 November 2016.
The Assistance Centre aims to connect all South Africans to the closest, accredited private ambulance service.
SAPAESA has mapped a comprehensive network of private and provincial ambulance services across South Africa, ensuring that no matter where you are located, we have an ambulance provider available to assist you during your time of need.
A simple call to the 24 hour emergency number 0861 911 111 is all that is required to access quality, pre-hospital care across the country, regardless of your location.
SAPAESA members are the preferred providers for the Assistance Centre, however in areas where there is no SAPAESA member available, or where the closest SAPAESA member is unavailable to attend to a request for help, a thorough network of alternative ambulance providers is in place to ensure that patient care is always our first priority.
The Assistance Centre has already helped a considerable number of patients in various regions across the country and SAPAESA is very excited at the positive public response and support. A substantial number of SAPAESA members have already been allocated calls by the Assistance Centre and these numbers are set to grow into the coming future as the awareness of the Assistance Centre grows over the next few months.
If you are not a SAPAESA member, but would like to apply to be accredited as an alternative provider on the SAPAESA Assistance Centre network, you are encouraged to email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more information about this exciting new project!
